Back in the Sadle?
Back in October things were looking grim. Things aren't looking so grim any longer; however, it is late, it is hot, I am tired, sticky, groggy, and maybe a bit cranky, so this will have to be short and we'll all have to hope for something more from me later.
On the baby front we are both excited and anticipating all the joy Emma will bring into our lives. For my part I'm actively choosing to disbelieve there are negatives with having children, otherwise I think I'd pull out my hair (and I only have a beard left anyway). We are down to the final few weeks and I think the nursery is done enough for Emma to enjoy it.
I met with the pastor of my church tonight to talk ministry. I've been wanting to get back into ministry, though in truth I have enjoyed the not having responsibilities part of just attending. I think those days are over, maybe forever. I will be teaching one Sunday School class (substituting really) on June first; I'm allowed to teach whatever I want, which should be freeing but is a bit nerve wracking. It's been six years since I last taught a formal class . . . should be interesting.
I would like to promise a more interesting update soon, but I can't so I won't. Life. It happens.
